Dear Supporters All,
As you may have heard already, this Friday 23 May will be our last day at HH in Sutton before the place gets 'mothballed' by the Trust in connection with our 'temporary closure'.
This will be a very difficult day for us all, and we thought that there might be a fair number of ex-ressies and ex-staff who might like to join us on Friday morning.
Moreover, trying not to pass up any opportunity to maintain maximum media and political interest in our plight, we are inviting journalists along on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 am to meet both staff and ex-ressies and take photographs.
In other words, those ex-ressies who might be prepared to speak to journalists about their Henderson experiences should try and come early-ish, whilst those who prefer to avoid the media could come a little later.
After the journalists have departed, our intention is to host a light lunch together at around 12 noon and say at least a temporary farewell to the building and to one another.
Meanwile please find two attachments to this E-mail. The first is a Press Digest - a copy of the document which I am circulating to the media.
The second is a copy of Early Day Motion 1547. This is a document currently circulating amongst MPs at Westminster, asking each to add his/her name in support of calling a House of Commons debate on the Henderson Hospital in the near future
