Philippa Stroud (Conservative Parliamentary)

On Friday 18th Jan I received mail from the Centre for Social Justice in Westminster asking me if we would be interested in a meeting with Philippa Stroud (Conservative Parliamentary for Sutton and Cheam) Philippa would like to discuss the Henderson Champaign and where and the why’s of our next move. Personally, I have no objection to meeting up with her. I have written to The Henderson, informing them of the said meeting and I have also asked if it would be possible for The Hendo to have two current residents come along to the meting. The advantage of this would be, to represent The Hendo past and present.

I would like to know if there is anyone else that would like to attend this meeting. If so, what world be your reasons for doing so?

At present, there will be two members of this forum attending, this would be David M and myself.

For those that would like to attend but not able to, for whatever reason but feel they have something to add. Let me know, as you could always draft your views, and then mail them to me via this forum. I will make sure that your views are added to the meeting.

This would be a very real chance to put our case forward, I feel this is an opportunity that’s far too good to pass up. I know there have been other politicians that have taken up this case but I think “there more the merrier”

I am hopping to hear from The Hendo latter this week, at that point I can make an appointment to see Philippa Stroud.

As time is ticking away, I can’t stress the urgency of this matter. Therefore, I would like to get this meeting underway ASAP.

Hello Karl,

Please keep me posted on any updates you have on the bid to save the Henderson. We have been running the story at and would be keen to learn of developments as they happen.
